iWord - Fantastic Word Processor for Multiple Document Formats App Reviews

IN AN EFFORT TO MAKE THIS SOFTWARE EASY THE DEVELOPER WENT OVERBOARD - OK FOR SIMPLE COMPOSITIONS BUT NOT MUCH ELSE. I DELETED IT, WISH I COULD GET A REFUND BUT DON’T REALLY EXPECT ONE IT WAS MY MISTAKE!

I just PAID and downloaded iWord just now and it wont even open a new or an existing document. I am trying to figure out how to contact the developper (through the link posted on this app store page) but the site isn t in English. So I am hoping they would post an email address where I can ask for support in a language I can understand. So much for thinking of trying out this app. Can I have my ten dollars back at least?

I also purchased this $ 10.00 App, it wont open, I cannot access the site, nor can I access the help..... Would like my money back

Unfortunately the new version doesnt work at all - when I click it, nothing happens. The previous vesion worked well on the same computer, this one doesnt. I sent an email asking for help using the address that is presented in the "about iWord" box but somebody replied that this is NOT a correct address. So why is it there? Sorry, total failure and waste of money.

In the process of embracing my new found computing power through MacBook Pro Retina, I must also embrace a new environment in creating, storing, and sharing documents. When purchased my first Mac in 1996, Mac ProForma, it offered superior performance over the HP I had barowed. Ive been using Windows apps since, acclimated well, and got comfortable. "They" say that our comfort zone can be our failure zone, so Ive joined the hundreds of thousands of Apple junkies. I bowed down to the "iGods", walked into an Apple Store, and walked out with a shiny new MacBook Pro Retina. Top of the line, "They" say. Humm… All I wanna do is create a simple Word-like doc. Is that so hard? I dont wanna touch that darned HP NetBook laptop ever again. Its slow and well, umm…its slow! Why oh why did this first experience have to CRASH! Yes, two minutes into cutting and pasting text from TextEdit into my iWord app, then changing a simple format like highlighting text…IT CRASHED! Its still thinking after the five minutes its taken me to write this review. Ugh! $9.99 down the toilet. Now what? I really hope theres tech support. Nope. Their sites text is all in kanji so I cant read anything. Im so new to my machine, I have to look up how to force shut-down the app. I hope others have a better experience. Command-Option-Shift-Esc for three seconds…Done! This review doesnt end there…I left to work with a client who Im coaching for her first bodybuilding competition, hit tennis balls with my BF, and his buddy form work, and relaunched iWord. So far so good. My last challenge was to change line and character spacing on my project and looked in the top menu bar. Nope. Its a button called "Inspector". Weird. Okay, so that worked on formatting but need to still figure out how to change margins. I have yet to do more complex projects with multiple columns, and will imbed images for my next word processing task; but this app seems fully capable. After saving my files as Word 2007 and "printing" as PDF, I tested the ability for Google to read/display the PDF and it worked. I did get that silly error that Google gives you to view the Word doc in plain text when I clicked from my MacBook but when I viewed from my iPhone, it was viewable. Funny. Okay…this review was really long. ;-) I hope my experience helps you with your purchase. I for sure got my moneys worth just from this one project for church and I anticipate that I will get more bang for my buck with this recently released app. Yay me! Marlina

This is as basic as Word pad for windows. I bought pages and for ten bucks more you get an actual app worth more than a note pad. you alread have notepad on your device so pass on this app. I put it in the trash after trying to use it for 2 hours.. unhappy.

It is simple and basic and easy to use. I am only an occassional user of word processing software, so simple is good. Frankly I get a little confused when Pages or even Open Org starts automatically indenting, numbering and doing other things that it thinks I want. Since I only work with it occasionally, I forget where to click to turn off some of the auto functions. I have been using it only a short time and I am loving the app. Thank you!

I bought this app because I needed to include pictures with my text. But it only saves a layout with pictures in its own mode: iWord. When I tried to save it as a .doc or docx it did not save the layout that I needed. Since iWord format is not universal, this app does not help me out at all.

I am very unhappy with this download. Once I downloaded the app, it would not work on my comupter. I am frustrated that I just spent ten dollars on an app I cannot use.

I just bought this app. After it downloaded it, I try to open it and nothing happens. App does not work!

This app is horrible! I just downloaded it on my computer and it will not work. I want my money back.

It wont open and keeps causing my MAC to crash. I would not buy this until they get the bugs worked out. I just threw $10.00 away!!!!! NOT HAPPY

Not much help if you need to do other things like labels. envelopes et all. WORD still is the only processor for MAC that enables all of these functions ALLTHOUGH not as easily as WordPerfect or the shareware I used in the 1980’s. Do not waste your money on this one unless you use minimal procesing modalities. Seems as intuitive as nost Apple software.

Downloaded app but wont run. Next step go to support right, well the support page is in a laguage I cant read......very dissappointed!!!!

Do not get this. I am a college student and assumed I would use this app to write my essays. NOPE! It does not open and causes all kinds of problems for my Macbook Pro. it is a complete waste of ten dollars that I could have spent on something that actually works. I HATE IT.

I bought this app and it wont open a new document or an already created document. When I contacted the creator via email I got no response. I am very disappointed.

I purchased the iword for 9.99 to try and make a resume. I went to open it and it did nothing! I went back tonight to try it again and its not even showing on my screen. I went to the app store and it says it is installed. I tried to open it from there, but it still wont do anything! Who can I contact for assistance?

It took 30 minutes of using it to realize that I’m a sucker for buying this. I’m better off with pages…
